If so you can apply for compensation if any of these apply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You have been granted a free pardon.<\/li>\n<li>Your appeal was successful and it got submitted 28 days or more after your conviction (or at least 21 days after a <a href=\"\/rules\/legal\/courts\/\">conviction in a magistrates&#8217; court<\/a>).<\/li>\n<li>Your conviction got overturned after a referral to the Court of Appeal by the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This page explains the procedures to claim compensation for a miscarriage of justice United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: The online application for <a href=\"https:\/\/miscarriage-justice-compensation.service.gov.uk\/MJC\/application-ref.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">miscarriage of justice form<\/a> is available in England and Wales only.
