There are other ways to <a href=\"\/rules\/legal\/environment\/wildlife\/pest-control\/\">control pests on your property<\/a> (e.g. animals or insects that cause harm or create a nuisance).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Note<\/strong>: Causing unnecessary suffering to an animal can mean a jail term along with a fine up to \u00a320,000.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<hr>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"category-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"list-content\">\n<h5>Most Effective Time to Control Moles<\/h5>\n<p>Ground moles are most active digging new tunnels before the breeding season begins in the summer. So, the best time to set mole traps is during the UK winter months (October to April).<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"list-content\">\n<h5>Catching Ground Moles with Cage Traps<\/h5>\n<p>Place the traps at least 15 centimetres below ground.
