Coal Workers Pneumoconiosis Scheme

Coal Health Compensation Eligibility

Claiming for a Miner who has Died

You can also make Coal Health Compensation claims if your deceased spouse or family member would have been eligible. But, the cause of death as stated on the miner's death certificate must be one of the qualifying health conditions.

Note: Contact your local Jobcentre Plus if they were not receiving IIDB when they passed away. In some cases you may still make a claim through the Coal Health Compensation scheme.
